Hello,

What's the most comfortable knife, fixed or folder, you have used/carried?

I go with an Emerson Specwar. The handle fits my hand extremely well and for a knife this "bulky" it rides in the pocket well next to the wallet.

Later,

Spyderco Wegner. It really feels like an extension of the hand. I haven't found any other folders that feel as comfortable.

Simonich-Wegner fixed Pro Hunter. Same profile as the Spyder Wegner, but bigger, and with a rounded handle, rather than flat slabs.

I would have to say my strut 'n' cut rascal. It's very small and the handle is designed very well. It fits perfect in the hand.

A Rob Simonich Talonite Cetan... just part of my hand... awesome smaller knife!

My 7" Matt Lamey camp knife; he spends a lot of time shaping the handles to get the curves just right.

Emerson Raven has great grip and fits my hand perfectly, or Benchmade 875 Sentinel.

Mission MPK or MD ATAK2.

Both very comfortable to use. MPK is is a bit rougher and and bigger, so it is more secure. The ATAK2 is a bit smaller and smoother so grip changes are easier.

Folder: Spyderco Native (w/ composite handles).

Fixed blade: My uncle's Randall (I don't know what model)

Actually, the best grip I have felt on any edged tool/weapon is the one I felt on a Rapier I held at a Rennaissance festival.

Well, the Spyderco Large Calypso with micarta scales and VG10 blade, the handle was very comfortable, but I had traded it a while ago and now the one I have that fits the nicest is the Custom Talonite Carnivore by Rob Simonich with desert Ironwood scales, fits well in the hand and looks nice to boot!

Though my Chris Reeves are my favorites and though I have many Bucks and though take my Puma White Hunter and White Hunter II along while hunting, my MOST COMFORTABLE KNIFE, BAR NONE is the discontinued and rediculously affordable BUCK 639.

Hey Buck, if you are listening, charge more and bring back the 639 !!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned SpeedTech's synergy. It's the most comfortable knife I've had.

Well, It was my Native until Tuesday, when I got my REKAT Carnivour. The grip seems to be made for me.

In fixed blades, my favorites are Chris Reeve though I have many Bucks and use then frequently. Puma White Hunter or W/H II is with me on hunting trips but overall, the most COMFORTABLE knife I have ever used, with no close second place is the discontinued BUCK Model 639.

Buck, if you are listening, charge more money to make it worth while bringing back the 639; what a knife for the price.
