Hey guys. Any suggestions as to what fixed blade knife to carry that is actually comfortable? I have a CRKT Companion that I like ok but, havn't really adjusted to carrying it. The knife show is coming to town this weekend so, I was going to try to get a new fixed blade for daily carry. Comments appreciated.

I carry my Camillus Cuda CQB-1, using the "plastic" sheath that it came with, IWB (using a "G-clip"), and I have found this to be a very comfortable way to carry this fairly flat "fighting knife".

Yo ElectricZombie,

Call Eric Normark from On/Scene tactical (see hsi revent thread on the general forum too). He makes a sheath for your blade (I have that knife too) that will replace the sheaths the Companion came with. Erci's work will be much higher quality and should be much more comfortable too. I think the sheath is something like $28 US plus shipping. Go order a sheath from Eric before the show and go nuy yourself something nice at the show.

I recently became another of Eric's satisfied customers.

The On/Scene Tactical kydex sheath he sent me for my Polkowski/Kasper Companion transformed it from a great knife with a mediocre sheath to a superb daily carry package.

The knife carries comfortably, draws smoothly, and is retained securely. Eric even sent it set up for a right-handed reverse grip draw, which was precisely how I wanted it.

Fit and finish of the sheath are absolutely superb, and Eric's built-in carry options would allow me any number of different carry positions if I felt like changing the arrangement.

Normark has my Unqualified Razorian Endorsement.

I've been wearing my JSP Jashido Compact in it's shoulder harness more than I've ever worn any fixed blade. It's very comfortable and secure, and invisible under a sweatshirt or jacket. I also like my Darrel Ralph Arclite ALB IWB at the small of back in the Bob Bailey concealex sheath. It's light, slim, and just the right length to make it disappear.

I have ever worn was a bob dozier agent in a right hand cross draw sheath. it was perfect.

then I lost it:o &:( & &:barf:

oh well
