Couldn't find a bigger pic. Madd Maxx 4" DLC pearl. Lost it in the field at Ft. Campbell. I still mentally kick myself in the arse about it from time to time. I have one on order now, but in S30v instead of D2. I'll dummycord this one if it ever gets carry time:D

I lost a $200 Dozier Agent! I had it in an office type bag because I was going to an interview at a knife shop of all things. I never heard it drop. Some lucky SOB has a damn good knife.

But such is life. I have had so many knives and gotten some for free or good deals. I can't complain. Life is great and my knife experience has been plentiful.

Thanks Mars!

not expensive but rather a DOH! moment. I went on vacation recently and i carry a leatherman micra on my keys...went through security...and now all i can say is i USED to carry a micra on my keys...DAMMIT...

My wife and I went to Washington DC in October. Went into the Air and Space Museum, saw that I was about to go through a metal detector arch and said to the security guard "is this a problem" and showed him my Byrd folder. He said it was and that if I wanted in I had to surrender it. No possibility of return. So I lost a knife that was on sale for 25.00. good thing I wasn't carrying my George Tichbourne Gents Folder (serial number 002).

Great museum. Saw a knife in there too.

well dollar wise or value wise ?
in 67 i lost a buck 110 that cost me a full days wages !
i made 1.15 an hr and it cost me 12$ 3 weeks before..
today that would be the equivalent of an electricians helper at
16$ a hr for 8 hrs would be 128$!
a customer gave me a german ww2 knife ( i was 15 then) and my dad took it and broke it up cause it had a symbol on it he did not like
so that knife last i seen was selling for around 450$
i still hate loosing any knife...

Only knife I have lost is an Endura 3, which wasn't the end of the world. Have "misplaced" a Spydie Lava for a couple of weeks now, but I'm not acknowledging just yet that its gone for good.

these things are a way for many guards to get things ..
the only ones that dont are the air port security..
there is not any reason that they can not give you a ticket and you pick it up on the way out!

i live not far from DC and know guards who carry knives that were surrendered! and i seen it here in state buildings some times
i have left mine at the fed court house desk and got it on the way out..
you were suckered !

the worst thing we lost in 911 was our freedom !
dayum bush any way glad to see him go ..

Ouch!

I thought i'd lost my Benchmade 707 Sequel ($220 in aussie money) ...but i'd left it in a pocket, and my wife washed my jeans :o

Lost a Leatherman Charge TI when I was fishing back in August. Lost it in the Maumee River.

I needed it the day I lost it, which is how I found out that it was gone..

The only knife I've ever lost is an early model of the Spyderco Delica.
Lost while hiking around Silver Lake (near Lake Tahoe).

Disappointed at the time, but fortunately was able to replace it shortly afterwards...

I lost my 80 euro boker at a scout meeting. I saw a kid using it a good year and 1/2 later and got it back from him. The most expensive knife I lost permanantly was a 20 dollar chinese buck knife, I dont miss it much.

I'm lucky so far - the only knife I've ever lost is a $65 Boker and I found it a week later in the landscape rocks where I park my truck at work . . .

The only knife that I have ever lost was a dinky little CS Mini Pal. I was carrying it on my key chain and must have snagged the handle on something. Oh well. I had it for a year or so before it happened and it was sort of an experiment to see how long it would last. Less than a $20 investment, so no worries.

Only knife I have lost had a heck of a lot more sentimental value, than dollars. Long time ago, have not lost another since.

spyderco scorpius that I got a deal on from the bay. All said and done, I didn't like it all that much, it had no sentimental value, and now I've got an excuse to buy something new.

Emerson Commander, lost it at a night club, same night, met the girl that I married.

Next up was a Kershaw Boa folder (the annodized one) Lost that after going to a Dave and Busters to screw around for a few hours.

A Spyderco Delica, however, I found it about eight years later. I have probably lost a few that I have not missed yet.
