There probably isn't really a limit, other than your biceps. Some of those kukris gat insanely heavy.

apart from the kukris and machete types, that one guy's big monster nessmuk

dunno whose it was, but it was on this forum

I think it's the one that Milla Jovovich used in the Resident Evil Movie, haha!

There are a lot of parangs / goloks / machetes in the 21" blade range.

a 24" machete is pretty huge and gets used daily in jungles.

The DOTD khukris in the Himilayan Imports forum usually list the weights, my 16.5in CAK is pretty massive with it's half-inch spine and I know I've seen much bigger khukris for sale there...

fairbairn smachet made by boker years ago was pretty huge, more like a hobbit sword than knife.

He he, you said smatchet...:p

I have a 20 inch HI CAK Khukuri at 42 ounces.
That's about all I could handle and I'm pretty strong.
You could build a log cabin with it.

Limiting my answer to knives in the 10" blade range, the heaviest one I have is an ICC Bull bowie. It has been used, performed well, and is a good workout swinging this thing around for a few hours. Makes the Busse CGFBM seem kinda fast handling, which is saying something.

(Added later - 29 oz.)

At the moment this is the heaviest one I have. Randall model 12-11" Smithsonian. It tips the scales at 34oz.

Hey, thanks for the replies and pics, guys.
Those are some really cool looking knives.
The reason I started this thread is because I have a big custom CPM 3V chopper on order and wanted to see some of the big knives others owned.
Will post a pic of mine when it gets here.
Keep the pics coming, guys ! :)

I have a WW2 Hi kukri that's 18" and has a half an inch spine.Trees respect it's authority.Or they fall to it's might.

I mainly wanted to find out the spine thickness of the Jungle trainer, cause they don't show a cross section of it on the KH website...
