Most mundane chore for the Umnumzaan?

Today I found myself scraping the burnt char from bulkie rolls I was grilling and had walked away from. I was busy at deer camp (building it).

But at least I cut some chicken breasts for tasting that I was also grilling for the rolls in the first place.

Not exactly what Chris R. had in mind, I suppose. But the Um does it all pretty well.

My Umnum from Wilson Combat is in the mail!! Cannot wait! Wanted one for awhile now!! Glad to hear it ll slice up some meat if the need be!

I sharpened a pencil this morning with my Umnumzaan, did a fine job of it too. :p:thumbup:

My Umnum is just sitting there somewhere...i.e. I haven't bought it yet. Can't get anymore mundane than that!

Striderco, maybe you can use your 'zaan to open it's own mailing package! Wait, that might be difficult... even for a WC 'zaan... love mine, BTW...

Uhhh, I cut the plastic tie holding my new Kiwi boot laces in their package... pretty mundane.

lol...I found myself trimming stray fibers from a bath towel just to use my sebenza....about halfway through I had to stop and ask myself what the hell I was doing...lmao

I feel you guys! I cut open a ketchup packet today at lunch just to use mine. You should have seen the reaction of the people beside me, priceless. My wife said, "SHEWW, I sure am glad you have a $400 pocket knife, otherwise we would have had to use our fingers to open it!" :p

I went home on leave recently and had an Umnum waiting for me that I'd bought from someone here, so I opened it first, looked it over, then proceeded to open 6 months worth of mail with it. Yeah, boring, I know.

How about this?

*note that the slices were already cut, but the toppings needed some trimming. Mundane yes, but very tasty!

Pizza, chicken nuggets, strings, thread etc, etc, etc, the standard edc blade chores. I think that the most mundane thing that my umnum does is cut my fingernails, ewww!
Before you ask, yes I do immediately wash the knife before putting it back into my pocket where it may end up cutting food next, unless I think that the food will be my Wife's-what can I say, I'm an A-hole.

My Zaan got a work out opening up an Apple AirPort Express box (huge box, maybe not that big). Good news, no chips on the blade and it is still sharp.

I just traded for binculars. Came in a box completely sheathed in duck tape. No Umnumzaan so I had to use my tanto Sebenza. :)
