I think you have a problem, seek help ;-)) I love the way the Collins turned out, I have to get one of those, such a deal.
Good seeing you and the gang on the weekend.

Thanks guys, its definetly growing, just wish it would happen a little quicker

Robin, its always good seeing you, we all enjoy the little visits, gotta do one soon when your not working

Nice collection there, some real nice pieces. I wouldnt classify your collection as small, thats not a good term. Size is dependent upon perspective. If you have those pieces you have and you are happy as can be, then you have an excellent collection, not what someone else tells you. I have learned this the hard way. Well done sir!

Nice pics, looks like your stuff is well used, I like that for two reasons, you actually spend a lot of time outdoors, and you aren't afraid to use your stuff.
Interesting finish on that collins hatchet, how did you do it?

Thanks man, i try to use my stuff as much as i can, but not as much as i like
i just got that Collins hatchet a week ago, i stripped it, and sanded the handle, dded some mahogany leather dye and finished with boiled linseed oil, the head i just rubbed some mustard on it and and warmed it in the oven for an hour, i like it looking old

You need to start a wrecking business. One trick to protect an ax handle is wrapping the shaft under the head with a length of bicycle inner tube. It doesn't look like much, but it is cheap and effective.

Thanks for the advice, i didnt really wrap it for protection, more for comfort and esthetics
i just liked the look
