i currently edc a skyline and love the light weight, flipper, g10, and overall ergos. i would like a better steel- i sharpen mine twice a week- so...is there a zt that carries like a skyline? or is there another kershaw that i should be looking at?

I don't know of any ZT's personally that carry like a Skyline, but I do like the way the 0350 carries. It still has some heft to it, but it's slimmer than the 0200. Sits well in my pocket, blade against the inside seam of my pocket.

maybe the upcoming 0780. but out of the current line, it would probably have to be the 0350.

As others have said there really isn't a zt that fits your size requirements, but i do have some suggestions. On the small and easily carrried but with better steel there is the g10 s30 leek, random leek or composite leek. My other suggestion doesn't get talked about much and that is the g10 kershaw speedform. Thin, light weight and the highly regarded elmax steel. It can be had for $75 and might be worth a look.

If you can find an 0700, it might be what you need. It is fairly light and thin for a ZT, and the flipper works great.

There sure is, but it's not out yet. Should be out relatively soon. It's the ZT 0750. It weighs 3.7 ounces and uses s30v. The blade is 3.2 inches. Overall length is only 7.25.

well, it looks interesting. wonder how it feels in the hand with the reverse curve of the handle?

thanks for the speedform suggestion, goat, but i'm kinda stuck on a flipper design, and i've had a g10 leek and it was a little too slim, but fat, if that makes sense, for my hand. was looking at the speedform and realized it is a flipper- doh!

I would check out the S30v kershaw blur... i own both a skyline and a ZT 0350 the blur is a leaner version of the 0350 and the s30v is an awesome steel..the blur sees more pocket time than the 0350 and it weighs half as much.. the assisted opening is super quick (why its called blur)

It's just a wharncliff, which is awesome for utility.
That's not a wharncliff blade. That's a hawkbill/karambit style blade.

And OP it seems like you're wanting the 0780, which is essentially a Zero Tolerance Skyline. No word on when it's going to see the light of day though...

I'd keep it simple and just get a 350. It carries great, s30v, and isn't overly expensive.

I am hoping to get my hands on all 3 of these. The 0700 has hit the streets, but in very low #s.
These all way less or the same as the Blur, so they should be very easy to carry.

0700 4.2 OZ
0750 3.7 OZ
0780 3.6 OZ
Blur 4.2 OZ
0350 5.6 Oz
Speedform 2 3.2 OZ
G-10 Leek 3.0 OZ
Avalanche 3.5 OZ

the more i look at the 750 the more intrigued i am by the shape. i carry a BUNCH of stuff in my cargo shorts and the skyline is perfect for me- much smaller and i wouldn't be able to find it, much larger would be too big. i like that it has no sharp edges so i don't scratch my hand when i reach into my pocket. i really just wish it had s30v as an option. thanks for all the suggestions!

The ZT 0750 is 2nd on my most want Zt list. I've been waiting on it as long or longer than the TILT. All 3 of these lite weight ZT were 1st listed in the 2010 ZT Cat. as new models for 2010.

Note: ZT 0551/0550 isn't listed for 2010. They did a very good job of fast tracking that one. :)

If the 0700 had a Skyline blade or drop point blade it would also make the list.

Liking the 0551, right now. I know it's beefier and I don't know if you would be open to going in that direction, but thought I'd throw that out there.
