Hi, could my fellow forum members inform me what production folding knives are hot these days  Ive been a huge spyderco fan from day one and dont know much outside of them. I am eager to broaden my horizons. Asside from Spyderco's, what knives from other companies should be essential to a good collection? Im not a complete idgemo, I know about sebenzas, hinderers, griptillians, leeks, etc etc. A few companies that come to mind,

Emerson, ZT, Kershaw, Benchmades, Al mar, Buck,,,,, cold steel:o Im sure Im missing a bunch. Mainly knives $50-$250. Fill me in. Thanks

Eric

Buck 110s, buck vantage pro, and Buck just put in custom 500 series knives in their online shop last November.

I think a few Kershaws that are pretty hot right now are the Rake and JunkYard Dog 2, especially the composite blades. Then there's the Kershaw skyline.

I guess I mine as well add that I'm really looking at getting a Benchmade 710 or 940 series knife next, I don't know if these are as well-known as the grip you mentioned.

I don't know much about the other companies, but I see a few mentioned around here: cold steel voyager, cold steel american lawman, benchmade lum, ZT 300, ZT 350, and ZT 200. If you like traditionals, GEC knives and the Case Swayback Jack are pretty hot right now.

This one has it's share of admirers these days.

NICE PIC! But Im already all over that one mang :D
Bradley Cutlery, Hogue, Mcusta
Will look into, thank you sir

The Endura, Delica, Paramilitary and Military are hugely popular on here, along with the Skyline. The Benchmade Grip, Cold Steel American Lawman and voyager series... hmm, I own none of those guys!

Most popular..cheap ones. The ones I see a lot of are Chinese kershaws and gerbers. Bucks and cases are the most popular American made ones I see.

Speaking of traditional knives, i don't know if you are into it, but if you grow a wild hair, check out "Great Eastern Cutlery" (AKA GEC, Tidioute, and Northfield).

They have been constantly and consistently making new patterns, blade combinations, and handle options.
