I was having a discussion with somebody else, and I would like to get other people's opinions (not limited to ONLY opinions; facts are always welcome too! ) .

So, here is the question being asked: What is the most prolific Bussekin (Busse, Scrapyard, or Swamprat) knife produced in the last five years? (By prolific, I mean, sold the most knives). Different versions (like, Boss Street CG, CABS, etc) count as seperate knives.

Anybody have facts or opinions to offer on the matter?

Moderator, I seem to be having some technical difficulty. I think its User Malfunction (ie., I am technically challenged. Too bad they don't issue a special parking space permit for that.... ) Anyhow, kind moderator, would you mind please moving this thread for me, and I will try not to misplace them in the future? I appreciate the help!

Ask the sheath makers what they make the most sheaths for. My guess is the RMD because its going to be offerred on a regular basis the demand ust be high.

That makes sense. At some point, if they keep offering them long enough, they will have to be in first place for sure. At present, though, I wonder if there is anything else that beats the RMD for sheer numbers sold?

Thanks for the reply!

I would have to bet it is probably either the Busse Game Warden or the SRKW Swamp Warden. I think I'd give the edge to the latter.

The knife I have made the most sheaths for would be the Swamp Rat Waki, but the RMD is pretty close.

There were a bunch of Game Wardens.

You might get more responses by re-posting/asking a mod to move this thread to the Busse forum.

My guess would be a more affordable model (Boss Jack, etc.) or a large chopper.

I don't understand what you mean by "prolific". "Prolific" means

1) producing young or fruit especially freely : FRUITFUL
2) archaic : causing abundant growth, generation, or reproduction
3) marked by abundant inventiveness or productivity <a prolific composer>

A knife doesn't produce anything. It can't be prolific. Do you mean the most useful, or the model with the largest production run, or the model with the most variants, ... ?

id say the rmd..the rmd will fit in many different sheaths, the waki has to have a custom. thats probably why dave has seen alot of requests for waki sheaths..

Who can say for sure? In all its different forms, I'd bet that the Battle Mistress would be way up the list (SHBM, BM Ergo, FBM, FFBM/FFFBM, NMFBM, BWM, and their LE versions & variants plus the Protos)...

The ASH-1 (CG, LE) was on the site for close to a year, sold lots, and we still see them at shows, plus all the variants and the Skinny version from the BCS, and now some coated LE thickness versions/variants are coming out at shows & Ganzas.

The BOSS Jack will prove to be another contender for sure...

RMD's are hot, and will continue being hot for sure.

The Game Warden is another large seller, with all the different combos...but each run was limited, some more than others.

ETA: The Street series would probably be in the top ten easily too... (MS, LMS, Mr, MrLr, Model T Meaner, Mr Tweeners, Mil Overrun Mr's and follow-up BCS saber runs, variants, Key Lardo BLVD's, Porky Parkways, etc)

:)

I have a theory why more custom sheaths are made for Waki than RMD...Spec Ops and others sell sheaths that will fit RMD. The sword type blades are more difficult to sheath with a store bought item.

Forgot about the ASH series yep that would have to be it, with the ASH-1 CG, LE, skinny, and the HOG versions, let alone all the variants. That would make the Steelheart the best seller.

SH I, BBSH/half moon and similar, SH II, SH-e, ZTSH, FSH/HHFSH/HOFSH/MOASH, ASH...and all the LE's & variants... Yeah, you may be on to sumthin here! :D:thumbup:
