Most random and useful things you use your Busse for?

Once in awhile, when I've been drinking, and I want a piece of meat, but don't want to defrost a whole chunk from the freezer, I pull something out and hack off of a bit with a blade from my Busse box.

This sausage meat, was eventually mixed with fresh tomato sauce, and dropped on some homemade flatbread.

Is there anything random you guys do, that only a Busse can help with?

Not to be flippant but Busse's is about all I carry and use for most stuff. To be honest I still have and carry every day my Buck Trapper #311 but that is because my wife gave that knife to me 30 years ago for Christmas. Frankly carrying a Culti, AMS, Hack, BAD, GW whatever I like them all as in the EDC family. Used a BWM for splitting spaghetti squash which can be a tough SOaG. So I feel your enjoyment of not being defeated by a lesser blade :D

Every once in awhile I do this and this :)... Ok so what if I use my Busse blades for eveything.

It's a chicken not a small turkey :) although I did do three turkey's in this on thanksgiving one of which was a 20 pounder .

Hmmm.... the most random thing I use my Busse for. That is a really good question. I think that when I pulled my Magnum Bear Cub out to open Xmas gifts for all the little cousins then used the same knife to cut up sausage at dinner. It's every day life to me to pull out my Busse for random stuff but my family is used to the standard butter knives. . . :D So I guess it was more random to them

Snow measuring stick... Dunno about useful, haha...but how's that for random? :D

This one works great at clearing the snow blower too. ;)

Beef Chuck Steak, smokey & delicious although a bit on the chewy side. That could have been my fault though, wasn't doing a great job of controlling the BBQ temp at times…. :)

Was thinking that, but the bone threw me off. Chewy, yeah, chuck roast is one of those cuts that needs low and slow. Good for pot roast, not so good for grilling.

Most random and useful use for a Busse? I use my TG to clean under my fingernails sometimes. No, I haven't lost any fingers. Yet.

The TG made short work of a pile of acorn squash I had to quarter and bake for Thanksgiving this year, too. It actually made lopping those hard little buggers into pieces fun and yes, a Busse in hand even makes disemboweling squash look cool.

Like Jaxx I used my basic 11 to measure this deer rub I found to show my buddy the size of rub it was.

My car slid into a shallow ditch yesterday (the ground was covered in hard pack snow and ice) and I used my AMS to hack down to the dirt and rock and make a path to get back out on after about 20 minutes. I was originally using tree branches and limbs, but they kept breaking, then I remembered I had the Mean Street and it was great. Even reprofiled down to 20 degrees per side, and digging into loose gravel, all I needed was a ceramic mug and a strop to straighten the edge again. Wish I would have brought a camera. Also wish I would have brought the Battle Mistress. That would have been pretty fun.

i use the skull crusher on my SJTAC to crush bars of frozen food like goulash or sauce bolognese into smaller bars - works like a charm!

:D

Awesome Jaxxs!!! Penns woods did get a little snowy last year. I don't think we're going to be able to say the same for this year. You might have to find another use for those blades ;). Just send 'em my way :D.
