  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Have been collecting knives from Cleston Sinyard out of Elberta Alabama, for 30 years. Believe I’m up to 20 of his pieces. Used to call him prior to his passing. His wife Valerie would usually answer, I would ask him about knife I was looking at of his, materials, prices etc. and we’d go off on other topics, was a great man and maker. But on to the knife, few months back this pops up on dealers site, had a smaller matching blade, slightly different profile, same materials, couldn’t swing both at the time, so grabbed the larger one as always wanted a big Bowie from Cleston.
Overall 16 1/4” 10” of his famous damascus blade, guard and butt also damascus, rosewood handles, and his sheath. He always said he made a heavy knife, and this does not disappoint.

Love the guard, Gorgeous.....bet it feels great in the hand.

They were always a pleasure to chat with, they’re definitely missed, I own a few of his integrals as well, one being a snakewood handled dagger, beavertail in design, interesting 👍🏻
Brother I am maker give me shot you will definitely like my work

For the weight of her yes she does, I have two others from him with 14 and 14.5” blades and they also handle well for such a heavy knife, his balance was always spot on, his guards are phenomenal. He also sometimes does a “pad” in front of the guard on some of his knives for better handling. Man was ahead of his time
