Most recent thrift store finds

Picked this up earlier today for $5. Very solid lock up although there is some side to side wobble. Anyone know what year it's from?

Had to buy it once I realized it had been owned by Jesus Christ

Nice, I love that Scout knife. How old are they would you estimate? What makes the bone scales shrink like that (and how do you prevent it)?

Thanks for sharing.

Nice score, I'm partial to the Imperials, used to be able to pick them up all day long for $1-$2, now they're gettin' harder and harder to find for under $20...

I'm not to sure that the scout knife is bone, it was almost blueish gray when I got it, after some good careful scrubbing this is the end result.

I like the Camillus stockman. Go figure.

I wonder if what's left of that spey blade could be made into something of a mini kiridashi with a little grinding.

Nice Scout, it's a Imperial Prov. RI, from the picture it looks like a metal shield and the screwdriver/cap lifter is longer than the awl, if so it was made 1949-1955, if it has the same longer screwdriver than awl but plastic shield it is 1955-1958, if the screwdriver is shorter than the awl then 1956-1962. Scales are jigged plastic also on all three models.

The Schrade Walden 196 is from 1946-1973 that is when the tang stamp you have pictured was used.
