pappykacks evendantly does real BF

well i talked with pappy today for a good while !
he sent me informatin that it was a bidding war between two guys only
and neather were from the us it seems...
also after his account was hi jacked he went to privet listing
and there is a very good reason for contuneing and may even do some privet listing again also!!!
hter is no shriliing and he got intouch withme as ihave bought from himp before and he keeps very good records! is very nice guy and has lots i want to buyfrom him and will soon enught...
i stand corrected and humbley eat the whole humble pie !
he is ok and some what of a jokester if you let him... an old drillsargent!

I dont have anything against Charles. He is a great guy. He is also a Life member of the BCCI. Knives are always sent as described or better.Well packaged and taken care of. I just dont like to outbid fellow BCCI members,
and I just dont trust the private listings. Anyone can go on that site and see who bids and email tham saying they have the same knife they will sell for less money. The buyers need to report them to the proper people involved with said site. Also it is a private listing you dont know who bid what?
If I told you the sky was green, Dave, would you believe it if you couldnt look out the window? I am not saying that this happens with pappy, I BELIEVE he is a very honest seller,I just wont bid privately, I wont eat any humble pie either (today):D
On that site prices go up and down all the time... There is no ceiling or bottom for that matter. Just gotta wonder, thats all...
 
I am dead set against bidding on private listings, and more that likely will never bid. However, I listed a Busse for sale on BF, no buyer..no offers, then I listed it on the bay as a private listing, sold it and later found the buyer is a BF member...go figure. Maybe some will pay any price, as long as they have anonymity.
 
...I'm with you on the bidding thing Scott. As for being anonymous...I'd rather folks know what I buy so if they find something I may want they can always give me a shout. I've been told of things for sale or available by members of this forum that I may never have gotten without their help. Best bunch of people I could ever imagine are right here in this forum...:thumbup:

Here's a possible explanation...I did an eBay search for something once, found a couple, read the descriptions, looked at the pics (in PSP, with high Gamma), and finally settled on one...Went to see when it ended...IN TWO MINUTES!!!... :rolleyes:

No way I could get signed in, put in a bid, & confirm, in two minutes... :(

...But I did get one just like it later... :o
 
...Florida fishing is fabulous but in all honesty I sorely miss the walleye, smallmouth and muskies of Wisconsin...Used to be a seasonal ritual every year for me...:( ...yep...I miss it...

OOOOOHhhhhhhh Walleyes, and smallmouth... Cant wait until next year...
BUT, you have a much nicer variety down there!!!! and its warm most of the year! And ducks!!! and peacock bass??! and alligators!!!!
 
...Don't kid yerself Jim...Wisconsin fishin' is second to none. Only problems I ever had is whenever the lake I was on got speared. Most everything fishable down here is private except for the Gulf. Even getting at the peacocks near Miami is a chore as there are few public launch areas...Getting far too built up down here...:grumpy:

How long have you been away from WI Darryl?
I only fish rivers for walleye so spearing isnt a problem. Plenty to go around!
Things arent all private here yet but getting worse all the time...
Have to buy boat launch permits or yearly "memberships"...
Small lakes become no go unless you have a residence on the lake...
I for one will not pay $7.00 to launch my boat one time or $15.00 a week.
Some are still reasonable but pay to put my boat in a lake????????
Crappy one boat boat launch... What do my taxes go for?
NOW I just sit home and spend that $15.00 on a buck knife! I dont hunt/fish like I used to, its become too much of a money game...
As far as muskies, I dont have the patience to catch two a year or have a follow up to the boat!:o

Here's the plan...Instead of (or after) deer hunting with Pack Rat in Texas, we go 'gator hunting in Florida!!! Whaddya say!!! :D :thumbup:

We'll set up an alligator blind; stick Goose, Pack Rat, and Scott Hartman in the blind...then me, 334dave, and DarrylS will drive the 'gators towards the blind with a couple of those aircraft-engined flatbarges, some Rebel yelling, and a lot of rifle/shotgun blasts...we'll massacree a mess of alligators, let DarrylS examine them (:barf: ), then build a bonfire on the beach, drink until dawn, and fry dem dee-licious 'gators!!! :D :p ;) :cool: :thumbup:

...Then for the rest of the weekend, we'll eyeball the beach bunnies... :p
