Not too long ago I traded for a knife that several people had owned previously but never used. I traded it and it has been traded since then. Any great stories about a knife that has been traded and sold a lot?

One of the first custom knives i purchased was a Fisk Pit Boss in 1997. I purchased it the day before the 1997 Arkansas Custom Show. Well the knife won Best Fighter among some tough company, Harvey Dean, Joe Flournoy to name 2.

Any how it was the perfect little fighter/bowie. 7" blade, and the prettiest Walnut ive seen to date. Well, I had some financial problems in 1998 and had to sell the knife. I sold it to a good friend with the understanding that i get it back if he sold it. 6 month later he calls wanting to sell the knife, i buy it back.

I keep it for a year or so and trade the knife for 2 Don Fogg knives, a Brend #4 and cash.

I sell the Brend and Foggs, making some good cash. About 6 month later i find a nice Rob Hudson camp knife. IM REALLY WANTING THAT FISK BACK, I call the owner of the Fisk and tell him about his Hudson, we immediately trade the Hudson for the Fisk.

Down the road a stretch and i need cash again, I sell it to a dealer. The dealer sells it overseas and its now gone for good.

I have regretted getting rid of that knife. It was absolutely perfect and the best Fisk Pit Boss ive handled.

Thats my story.

Matt.
