This is so true. If at all possible, go see her, give her a hug and tell her you love her. If you cannot see her, then call her and tell her you love her.

Unexpectedly I saw my Dad on Father's Day in 1989 (my parents were supposed to be out of town, but they had not left yet). We talked for awhile, and as I was leaving I told him I loved him (the guys in my family did not say this). I received a call at work the next day that Dad had a heart attack, and he did not recover from it. I sure was glad I took the time to go see him and told him I loved him; I never had another chance to do so.

Thank you to all of the moms that do the often thankless jobs like changing diapers, preparing meals, washing clothes and the many other things that are part of being a mom - God bless you and Happy Mother's Day!
