I'm looking at a MagnaTek Century AC Motor. It's 115 volt, 1.4 HP motor that runs at 3,450/1,725 RPMs. Shaft size is 5/8". It's Thermally Protected and draw 15.9/3.4 amps.
Would this work for a 9" grinding disk?
Also the plate on the motor lists the HP at 1.4 ------.17.
Is the .17 the HP it has at 1725 RPMs?
And can this motor be reversed?
It's new, so would it be a good buy under $50?
Thanks for the replys
Bryan
P.S. I may be able to get a few of these if anyone else is interested, but I need an answer within a few hours. Sorry for the short timeframe.
