There is a motor I'm thinking of buying from Princess auto. It is a Marathon, 1 hp, TEFC, farm duty, capacitor (300%) start, 115/208V single phase, reversible. Its on sale for 150.00 Canadian. They only charge $12 for shipping. Would it be simple (and safe) to try to wire the reverse direction via one or more switches? as apposed to rewiring it every time I want to switch it? I might want to reverse it quite often. Is there a better overall solution? I can't really get high voltage wiring in my apartment garage. Can anyone point me to info on suitable switches to use etc?
Thanks,
Richard
