I mostly carry small fixed blades on the inside of my left boot, IMHO thats the best place
Timberline Lightfoot Mini Pitbull
Kershaw 1080 Mini Skinner

Suzuki Volusia. It can carry a tent, sleeping bag, two small saddlebags, and small duffel. I don't carry passengers! :barf:

What pocketknife do I carry? This is small enough for comfortable pocket carry, even on the bike. And with the lanyard, no worries of losing it.

There's a motorcycle forum where I'm a member, and I once asked there what sort of pocketknife people carry. Seems that most riders don't like to carry anything in their pockets, nothing that would either attract the wrong sort of attention or nothing that would create a hard lump in case of an accident. And most bikes have either a toolkit compartment or an add-on toolbag/saddlebag, so having a bunch of stuff in the pockets of riding pants is unnecessary.

01 HD from Yonkers PD, it was an escort bike used in some of the 9/11 funerals for the police and fireman as is my understanding. Built the engine and runs like a raped ape. It is a EG Standard with extra's made on the NYC contract. Carry on my side a Winkler Spike, and under my arm an older Colt CCO. keepem sharp

the ONLY time I rock my Spyderco is when I'm tooling along on my '88 Vespa, it just seems appropriate...

Woot woot!!! Fellow Harley Davidson SuperGlide rider here. 2009 to be exact.

Cold Steel Recon 1 XL right front pocket. Sometimes alternate with my Al Mar Sere 2K, but here lately it's been the Recon. I usually bring 1 or 2 fixed blades everywhere I go with me in my backpack. Usually a BK17 or John Greco Companion in A2. Sometimes I'll carry a fixed blade on my belt while riding. Biggest one I pack is a BK2 with a high ride strong side kydex sheath. That way it's not flappin around on my leg. It just sits nice and high with the handle going up my right side.

Love the intimidation factor of large knives when riding. Bet that Recon 1 XL feels awesome when you snap it open in deployment and the BK2 pig sticker is hot. The boot knife I carry stays pretty secure and I forget it's there until I see something I want to take out. What sheath you carry do you use for belt carry? As far as the bike.....nice choice. Mine's black with low chrome but I wish it was matte finish.

2008 HD Fat Bob

I always carry a knife in my front right pocket. And sometimes an additional dedicated self defense blade in the other side of the same pocket or other places depending on the knife. I just ordered a pair of custom fit/custom build wesco boss harness boots with the knife pocket. So in the future that will obviously be filled with steel at all times lol.

The knives I rotate for edc lately are:

Hinderer xm-24
ZT 0560
Strider sng

Dedicated SD knives
Spiderco p'kal
Fox karambit
(Hence 2 knives in one pocket)

I've had my eye on those Wesco boots with the knife sheath for a while now. Post a pic with the blade in there when you have them in.

Thanks

For sure, the price was insane but in the long run it'll be worth it. Since they are almost indestructable. I just sent my custom fit form back in to stompers boots on wednesday of last week so it'll be a while before I get em but I can't wait. I have big wide feet so having a pair of boots that fit perfect will be really nice. I currently have a pair of 12 wide harness boots and my feet have pushed out the leather on the sides lol.

I use an Azwelke kydex sheath for the BK2. It rides so high not many people even see it! It shows a little more in the summer when half the time I'm just in a t shirt. (I know, I know, people tell me every day - all the gear, all the time. I do wear a helmet, but I don't always wear my jacket and vest.)

I love the Superglide. They are awesome scooters. About 6 months ago my brother called me from a HD dealership saying he was looking at a sportster. I told him "you will ride it and like it for about 2 months, then wish you bought a Dyna". I told him to at least test ride a dyna. He wound up with a 2008 Superglide. He said it's the best money he ever spent on a motorcycle. We almost get em mixed up sometimes when we leave the bar! (Same bike, only 1 year apart)
