Any one out there have a good motor to sell for my coote grinder.man thoses shops want alot.I am a disabled vet and can"tafford alot let me know guys,thanks rb

Did you check out motors that had been rewound? Usually you can get a good motor at a decent price that way.

Definitely check on ebay! I looked the other week, and there were loads of bargains on there. Like a Leeson 2 hp, brand new in box for like $50. That's cheap!

HOWEVER...I can't say enough, save up and buy a DC, variable speed motor. It really helps to be able to slow it down, but for the more exotic materials it's a neccessity (i.e. m-o-p, ivory, etc.).

They cost a lot more, but they are hands down worth it!
