Great MM's....I really want one from Bill Horn esp the 1095 bonehandled one but was wondering who would make a top notch sheath for it?
Anyone else bought a great sheath that would love to share a pic and some info on where they bought it?

Much appreciated,
Kap

Hello kapt,

I believe there are many talented folks here who can fix you up.
One in particular, hangs out in the Schrade forum. He is Paul Long (sheathmaker) and I'll attach a couple examples of his work. The first sheaths are belt loop or clip-on, lined with deerskin. The second one is a pocket carry of lighter weight stock.
His work is TOP notch, and he is a funny guy...for a Texan. :D

Bill

EDITED: My apologies caine, not meant as a hijack.:o Very nice knives.

Thanks Bill.........much appreciated....I knew they was someone here who could point me in the right direction!!

Caine, nice collection, I'll wait until Monday when my stag/1095 one gets here then put up a photo of my Mountain Man/Remington R1306 patterns.

Nice to see someone else that carries and uses a Remington 1990 bullet knife R1306. It was the one that got me started loving this pattern, but most folks that I know that have them besides me just collect Remington Bullet knives but don't use them.

The Moore Maker holster style sheath which is designed for their Jumbo Trapper (which is more or less a repro of the Remington Bullett trapper) fits the Mountain Man Lockback very well, and looks great too. I'll try to take a pick and post it if I can find the time. The sheath sells for $30 at www.mooremaker.com

Here's my little lineup of R1306/Mountain Man patterns.

Just measured mine for you, at the mid-point of the handle they are:

Carved Stag Bone 9/16th
Sambar Stag 1095 1 inch

Almost twice as thick as the CSB.

Thanks LC.........I just got a email from Paul on his sheaths, anyone else you can suggest so I have some options for sheaths......He was quick to the mark and will probably get my order but I'd like to see what others bought for a sheath and from who.

Thanks,
Kap
