I've been wanting to host a giveaway for a while now as a thank you to the members who post here in the Traditional Forum. This is by far my favorite place on BFC and it's the one forum that I always check when I stop in. We've been fortunate enough to have a bunch of giveaways lately, so I decided to hold off a little bit until most of them ran their course.

As you can see by my current avatar, I've let my beard grow out for the past few months and it's the longest I've ever let it get. I figured a Queen Mountain Man slipjoint would be a fitting knife to give as a prize.

I guess I ought to throw in a couple pics of the knife as well. It has been used by me and tweaked a bit. It's hard to see from the pictures, but the blade now has more of an 'as ground' look to it and the etch is gone. The bolsters also have a satin finish to match. This is a big knife, yet it carries surprisingly well in jeans or work pants. I didn't find it overly heavy or bulky for pocket carry.

I always enjoy seeing pictures of the people we interact with here. If you can, and feel comfortable doing so, please share a pic of yourself. The only requirement to enter however, is that you must have posted in the Traditional Forum before this thread was started. I will let this run for a while and the winning post will be determined by a random number generator.

ETA: If you post more than once, only the first one counts as an entry.

Danny,
I don't post much, but when I do it's on traditionals or axes. I come on here every day at least once and read the posts. I don't have my camera working so I can't post a picture, but I haven't shaved since 1977. Didn't like it then, got no reason to think I'd like it now. I've never entered any giveaway before, since I figured that I'm mostly a lurker and not a poster. This one changed my mind, though. If you don't mind I would like to throw my name in the ring for the Mountain Man. That would be a great knife for the times I need something a little bigger than a Country Cousin or the Black Delrin Bullnose I just got from Mike. Thanks. I'm reloading software on my laptop tonight if i get the chance, so if I can get my camera working or find a pic on a disk somewhere I'll try to post it later. If I can find the login for my photobucket account, that is.

This is very exciting to me. I've been eyeing these for a while now. Thanks so much for the opportunity. This shot is from a few years back, and I imagine if I had let nature take it's course, my beard would now be nearing yours. Thanks thing is rugged! That's me in the foreground and my old partner in crime who has since moved out of the country. We used to do lots of stupid things together. On this outing we decided to climb up Mt. Hood. This was taken around 7am at the summit.

Hi Danny, Does my ugly mug reflected from a 112 bolster count? I'm not a big fan of blade etches and I like what you've done to this one:thumbup:
Plaese count me in...And Thank You!

It was a lot of fun trying to get this shot...

My gf usually says i am like a mountain man because i usually have a beard. It is not nearly like yours though, thats very mountain manish. I've also wanted to try out a queen knife, in d2 particularly. Thanks for the chance.

Danny,
Thank you for showing great generosity by this give-away, I tend to favour the single or double bladed slippies, and that looks to be a neat knife, and it would get some hones use!
Here is a pic of yours truely...in fact it is a wee bit weird putting up photos of ourselves, but it would be realy neat to see other faces who we "talk" to so much here in Traditionals, ok..please forgive the gob open...Im crunching a Cracker and my friend is helping himself lol - not the most flattering photo-but to be honest I havent found one yet that is :D

Oh you really hit my weak spot on this one - single blade jacks 3 1/2" to 4/12". Kinda like brunettes 5'5" to 5'10" with nice eyes. ;)

Anyway, here I am at the Patriots vs. Chiefs Monday night game this past November in Foxborough. And yes, I am smiling. :)

Heck, I don't have a knife in that pattern, so I'll jump in. Thanks for the chance! (Great idea for the thread, too. Kinda cool seeing what the other folks here look like.

Me, this last January, the week before I started my medical weight program. (I'm down 58 lbs. now, with six more weeks to go.)
