Mountain men knives?

Hello everyone my grand father is into the hole mountain men he reacts the 1825 - 1840

He gave me one of these knives he use to throw i was wondering does anyone know were i can get a similar throwing knive its 14inches long blade heavy and if im correct i think its a bowie or type of bowie

 
The guys who make throwing knives from saw blades - Joe Darrah, Ken Witherell, Bill Page, Robert Garcia to name a few. Facebook is probably the best place to find them. Bobby Branton might be able to help as well.
 
I have seen knives like that on eabay in vintage trowing knives good luck hope you find them Mike
 
I was a reenact or myself (1750 era) and had seen it there at some time. They are pretty reasonable and delivery tends to be fast. I have bought many Hudson bay style hawks from them over the years.
