Just got a sweet Mountaineer I today from a fellow forumite here. Slighlty used but pretty minty as far as I am concerned. I am very impressed with the quality of workmanship including the sheath.
First thoughts...smaller than I thought it would be, but much better suited to daily carry than I had anticipated. It is very handle heavy but after handling it for the last few hours it has grown on me and I am getting used to it. It carries very well, I had to go out tonight and slipped it on my belt and did not even notice it there, even while driving. I plan to make up a kydex sheath for it in the future that rides a bit higher but for now this is more than adequate. You can really choke up on the blade in a variety of grips.
I can't wait to put this to some really use out camping this summer.
Just curious if CRK supplies anything in the handle? This did not come with anything and I was under the assumption that a small kit(hooks, line, sinkers?) was included, though I am not very familiar with CRK...but plan to get better aquainted soon. I am eyeing a Jereboam now
