mounting 3m film for edge pro

i was wondering if it was possible to stick 3m films directly to an edge pro stone using the stone as a blank for the film

Even if you can get it to stick, which I'm not sure would work for very long at all, I have to think that the stone itself would negate any benefits from the film placed on top of it.

Did your Edge Pro not come with a...blank... blank?

Just order some blank blanks as posted above, I have done what you are wanting directly to the aluminum. However I don't find all that much difference in the finished product using the 3m over the polishing tapes Sold by EP.
