I've been toying around with this for a while and finally made it work.
Here's what you need:
Esee knife (HEST in my case)
mounting hardwear X2
Maxpedition barnacle or any similar pouch that's mallace compatable.
2 mallace clips (short)
A multi tool with an awl and a Phillips(starhead) screwdriver.
Step 1: remove all the screws from the sheath and mount the Blade tech clips on like so.put 4 more mounting parts in holes that line up with the malace clip holes.
step2:using the awl make the holes big enough to accept the mounting hardwear.
Step 3:Mount the mallace clips to the sheath.they won't line up perfectly straight but their flexibility is the best asset.
Now you should have something that looks like Chtlulu
I prefer to attach the clips with the buckles down.this has a hidden bonus of helping the knife/pouch stand upright so you can get at all the goodies inside easier.
You'll have to work the pouch some to get it on.remember your putting a slightly crooked mount on a straight pouch.Again this has the added bonus of making the pouch very tight to the sheath so it eliminates unwanted movement.
Here she is all loaded up.
Couple the pouch contents with the handle contents of my HEST I have quite a serious survival kit.
Comments and questions are welcome. Thanks everyone for looking.
