Mounting elements on oven ceiling

I need to put a new element in my diy oven. I'm thinking about mounting them on the ceiling. They're currently in the wall in grooves but they tend to sag and can short out or contact the knife. For those that have done this im assuming that place a rod in the element? If so where do you find these?
