looking for a new treat. small knives are for me. which would you choose for normal EDC of these three? using for normal everyday chorse and the like ... i am kinda leaning to the Mouse cuz' it's alltough and stuff, but the cricket is so discreet yet 'powerful' ... any comments?

The mouse. It feels great in the hand for a smaller knife. It cuts like a big knife.

I was wondering the same thing a few days ago... I decided to get the SS Cricket. It should be here tomorrow afternoon. woohoo!

SS Cricket is a great little knife - there's a passaround review on the General forum.

I'm not sure about the Mouse specs, but it's definitely more $$$ than the cricket (about double, if my data's current). Also the cricket has a thin blade that slices really, really well, but wouldn't be good for any sort of prying. Mouse may be better at that if it's got a thicker blade.

I've owned the Mouse and the Dragonfly (SS) at different times. Both possess outstanding ergonomics and are made of top drawer materials. But for everyday chores I would lean towards the Dragonfly. It's blade is probably as strong as that of the Mouse thanks to it's flat ground design so you wouldn't miss out on anything there. The 'fly is a good bit less expensive and easier to find as well. Also, I think the SS 'fly looks very classy.

Hey there- good question.
I have had basically the same question at one time. I have carried both. As for my opinion the SS Cricket is the better everyday carry, at least for me. In an office environment and its related uses the cricket has worked better for me. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have all three, and I can tell you that there is no "better" knife between them. They are DIFFERENT, you cannot compare them directly, and the proof is that I keep rotating between them all the time. When I expect to be cutting string, tape, tie-wraps and opening boxes, I prefer to have the Cricket or the Kiwi. When I might be carving wood or trimming a steak before BBQ, I like the Mouse.
I would say that the Cricket is more "industrial" where the Mouse is more "rustic" if you can understand what I mean, but all three are great knives that compliment one another.

I have the mouse and it's great. Biggest knife in the smallest package I've ever seen. Girls think its cute.
