A couple of questions guys. When using different grits paper on a mousepad I use a stropping technique and drag ( heel to toe) spine leading. I also use a mousepad and switch to leather or even diamond spary or paste and also use wood or both. My main question is -" why do we use the stropping stroke on this" ? ( spine leading) I had a friend ask why I don't push the blade like I do on my stones? This is just how I learned and I chase the burr and then switch grits. Depending- but I usually start @ 400 grit and end at 1500 and then go to leather/spray/ wood combo. Any comments are welcome. Much appreciated-Thank You
