Mousepad Stropping?

How do you use a mousepad to strop? I have two types: a cloth surfaced on and a plasticy one.

Could you tell me how to go about this? I just sharpened one of my SAKS and it needs to be refined.

Stropping on a mousepad is great for smaller knives. doesn't matter what kind of mousepad you use. Just follow Buzz's directions and be sure to use pieces of increasingly higher grit sandpaper - 400, 600, 800...

You can get 220 to 600 off the shelf at Home Depot or Lowe's.
