I looked.

You should become at least the first level of paying member in my opinion, but that said, I waited a full year before I manned up and bought a membership.

The value you receive is the value you perceive. I found that this place is full of great people and information, and I have met many friends through the forum.

You don't have to pay to trade, just to sell.

Wasting your time looking for a knife (Cold Steel ATC) that has been out of production for over 20 years? Maybe..but sometimes patience pays off. It is not uncommon to have WTB threads go unanswered for a long time if at all....especially when looking for hard to find items. You don't need to be a paying member to start a WTB thread. Also, you don't have an email address listed so the ONLY way people can contact you is by responding to a thread. You'll give yourself a better chance of finding what you want if you give people options on ways to contact you.

The others have answered to the point: not every WTB will find a Want to Sell waiting. Doing Google searches works sometimes.
