Sorry that I removed it, but I tried to just copy it to the Moderator's Only Back End forum pending their advice on Burafan. I screwed it up and insted moved the thing in the process.
I meant to leave it intact over here with the last post I made to Burafan and the forum detailing why.
The following is a brief version of my comments in the final post of the thread that was moved. It isn't verbatim but will give you the gist of the comment:
To keep it short and sweet, the guy made a mistake, got caught, apologized and the apology was accepted. Period. End of matter? Should have been.
Unfortunately he then continued to dig himself into a hole, and then would not stop digging his own grave.
As a result, partially out of pity and partially out of sympathy for the stomach of the rest of the forum, I am not allowing further posts by Burafan.
Any post you make will be locked down, Burafan. I'm not banning you, pending advice from other Moderators.
That would now however be my preferred way of solving the problem. But I am no longer a dispassionate, disinterested party, and will not make that judgement in my current state. I'm locking this tnread also.
If those besides Burafan wish to comment, my email is published. I'd really rather you sent me email rather than keeping the matter going on the forum.
However, if you want to haul me over the coals for this you may of course do it on the forum. I won't delete or close it, but I will ask other moderators to keep an eye on it and step in as necessary.

Edited to clarify that the italicised text is pretty much what I said on the moved thread, and should give you a rough idea of what it contained. I was a bit nicer and more tolerant toward Burafan in the other thread.
