Ok not really Oscar-material but an enjoyable few hours in the theater considering all the "3D" fodder out there.

First: watch it with your wife/GF/significant other. You'll thank me later ;)

Second: EMILY BLUNT! Gawd! I'm like a freakin', goolgy-eyed, weak-kneed, jaw-dropped school boy whenever I hear and see that English lass (I have a thing for Brit brunettes :D)

The plot is reminiscent of a "Twilight Zone" episode from the 80's having to do with some quantum rectification officers enforcing "the plan" but expanded to feature length. 2008's "Midnight Meat Train" is also something similar to TZ's plot lines.

How is this movie different from Dark City?

Ditto on blunt!

You're right, there are similar elements, but the "beings" in this movie, as one character describes, are more like corporate "case officers" enforcing/rectifying "the plan" by "the Chairman" rather than the machine-like, creepy beings in Dark City with very little regard for "our" welfare.

Also, unlike in Dark City, there is also the element of chance or even randomness, with the "ripples" of said consequences being monitored and controlled by those "bureau" guys.

I haven't seen it and probably won't. Is it one of Damon's usual anti-American/big business movies?
