Meh, I don't think there's any excuse for making them THAT ugly... and the anodizing colors... I mean, I could understand it if they were ugly and black or gray or something, but bright red? Nah...

If they were spear point or even drop point blades, I'll bite. Otherwise, methinks tantos look silly.

The one that Kilmer uses in the movie is not a tanto point. The Spartan is a drop point. Although I like tanto points alot, they serve a different purpose don't they ;) ? The drop point is more of a realistic design for my purposes. I dislike the anodizing  .

Just so you know , Aaron (Mr. Severtech) is not a fan of the colors either. This is why all you can buy is BLACK. His Dad is responsible I believe. He thought it would be more of an eye-catcher on the show table to have some colors. That was in the early days before Severtech became the "King Kong of Kustom Autos" kevin

"Nice knife, where'd you get it?"

"Got it off an east German fellow."

"That was nice of him, give it to you as a gift?"

"No, as I recall he was rather reluctant to part with it."

Moive lines don't get much better!
