Movie Knives

Does anybody know what was brand and model of the knife used in the movie The Edge, starring Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin?

It is a custom made knife by Canadian maker Brian Lyttle.

Do you of a knife that you could buy over the counter that would be similiar?

The knife is a lockback similar in size to the Buck 110. There are many like it from companies like Buck, Puma, or Bear.

Someone posted this a few weeks ago. Apparently you can't get the lockback version anymore, but a liner lock version will run you in the neighborhood of $1,200. Check out the links below. The brad pitt story is interesting - apparently brad had visited lyttle during the filming of Legends of the Fall and had him make a knife for Anthony Hopkins as a gift. For the Edge, when they were talking about knives to use, Hopkins recognized the Lyttle name on a prototype knife and gave a thumbs up to the use of it in the movie..
