Movie Kukri Question

Did anyone see the "Resident Evil...III(I believe it was...)"?

I just saw it the other night. Was wondering what the approximate size of the Matched Khukris the red-haired girl was using?

I understand that movies aren't reality--nonetheless, those Khukris looked to be just about the right size for me...

The "Yeti Hunter" khukuri's Ms Yangdu offers here from time to time are probably the closest match to the ones seen in Resident Evil: Extinction.
 
They looked to be more like 16" to 18" to me.
They sell cheap repro's of alice's kukri's complete with dual sheaths on that auction site, but i'm betting they are cheap garbage,especially compared to the khuks we are used to here.
 
I understand she used mock-ups of aluminum or plastic. HI imports would have looked a lot better..
 
I'm guessing having to swing two pounds a hand might not make for the smoothest action scenes.

I'd say her khukuris are in the 18" - 20" range.

The blades are probably a good bit thinner than the blade of a typical H.I. khukuri.
 
In the first and second photo, you can clearly see the rivets on the handles. They absent in the third photo.

They probably had a few different kuks handy, pretty ones for closeups and plastic ones for the fight scenes.
 
If I were to pick two out of my collection to slay zombies like that, it would probably be my 21.5 Chitlangi in my right hand and my 20.25" Sirupati in my left hand.

I have larger, more fearsome khukuris... but using them against X amount of zombies for Y duration of time would result in early fatigue and Z; a zombie bite. I want speed and agility with one khukuri having some good chopping power, thus my choices look pretty clear.
 
20.5 sirupate in one hand ,probably the bumblebee in the other. I'd rather have a good shield though. Maybe some decent armor too.
