We went to see Lincoln. Pretty good movie, but you better like history cause that's all it was. Not a bad thing, just not much happening other than men talking. Did have some humorous parts and if you think politics is corrupt nowadays, it looked to be very interesting then.
All in all, a nice, relaxing, child free evening with the wife. That made the whole night awesome.

Yeah... interesting movie but I'll admit to napping a bit. When I woke... asked the wife what I missed. Her reply, 'nothing'.

Just about sums it up.

Thanks for the reveiew Garth. The gf and I have been wanting to see it, but were wondering if it might be better saved for the comfy couch in case it was a bit slow.

Oh Tremors! "They're called Graboids" I loved watching those movies with my brother. They are his favorite. :D

Garth, I'm glad you and the wife had a good evening. It sounds like this movie can wait to be seen on DVD though.

We went to see Lincoln with another couple and all admitted to kind of dozing off about 1/3 of the way through. But once we woke up fully we all ended up raving about Daniel Day-Lewis' absolutely remarkable (IMO) performance. That said, we all agreed we wish we had been in the editing room with some scissors to end the movie a little earlier at what we thought was it's true ending scene. Yet again Spielberg didn't consult me :)

The movie to see, (again IMO) is Argo. Pretty hard to make a movie that tense and riveting (and also funny) when everyone in the theater knows how the story ends...

i wanted to see Lincoln but i wasnt sure it was worth the tip to the theater. now i know. i did want to see the Hobbit but im not sure that its still in theaters.....

It was OK, but I'd rather see the "How it's Made" Busse episode on cable. Even one of those ultimate factory tour shows :D But seriously I thought DDL pulled off another stellar performance. Dry, yes but worth a rent.

I went to see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer . . .. It was pretty sweet  Haven't seen Lincoln yet though :D

Honest Abe as a vamp killer does make for a pretty awesome movie. I was hesitant since it was made from a book, but it was a great film.

Thanks for the "Lincoln" review; I've been wondering. While I was wondering, I saw "Django: Unchained" twice. That movie is sweet!

It was a very good movie but I agree with you Garth, It was kinda LONG in some parts. Daniel Day Lewis nailed it. Steven S. did a great job directing it. Wonderful JOB!!!

But I liked the movie with him killing Vampires with a great big shiny Ax.:D

XOXO

Lincoln was good but I thought it would be better given the build-up and hype. Don't go to that many movies but seeing Argo tonight. My 16 year old said it was good.

I'm lucky as my wife's favorite movie is Jeremiah Johnson and any action flick.

Hard to beat ol Liver Eatin' Johnson. He was Rambo before Rambo.

Off to see DJANGO tonight. Selling beer at theaters is the greatest thing to happen here since the Alamo. Woohoo!

Django is great, but for me it was really intense at time and hard to watch.
