Two movies I am looking forward to seeing, both based on true incidents. "Rush" is a Formula 1 racing movie about the rivalry between drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt back in the 70". Directed by Ron Howard.
"Captain Phillips" is about the hijacking of a US cargo ship by Somali pirates and the rescue of the ship and crew by Navy Seals. Tom Hanks plays Phillips.

I have enjoyed most films directed by Howard and most films starring Hanks so these two are on my list. Just hope there are some zombies written into the stories. :D

I really want to see captain Phillips. I saw the previews in the movies looked good, wonder how close to the truth it will be? either way it looks like a good distraction from everything.

I don't really see anything I am remotely interested in coming out this year. I want to see the 2nd part of the Hobbit, but after being so disappointed in the first, I am wary.

I usually am not a fan of sports movies, or "real life" stories in movies (I am more into escapist fantasy like X-Men, etc) but Rush looks really good.

I like real life documentaries like Star Trek, especially Deep Space Nine.

Have you ever seen Apollo 13? Tom Hanks, Ron Howard.

I look forward to Anchorman 2. The first one was pretty funny.

Watched Oblivion the other night. Wasn't expecting much, but it was a good story.

Kind of late notice, but in a few hours they are showing a "How it's Made" show on the movie "RUSH" prior to the F1 race in Italy.

As a big F1 fan, I'm looking forward to Rush. The NBC Sports F1 announcing team (formerly the Speed Channel announcing team...) got to see a pre-release version and they said it was pretty impressive.

Likely the best F1 films ever is Grand Prix done way back when with James Garner, circa 1966. Terrific racing scenes.
The Speed channel got to air the film on TV for the first time a few years back, and included a bunch of interview footage with Garner and others as to how the film was made.
The guy that played the French driver was so terrified that all his scenes were done with a half-car being towed behind another vehicle....
I was into Simulation racing for quite a while, and Grand Prix Legends was (and likely still is) the premier racing game in this form. The game models the season just after the one in the film, and many of the scenes in the game are exact depictions of the cars and tracks of the period.

I wanted to go to a movie today and take the kid. Maybe one of the recent super-hero movies. Checked the listings for the big theater in town, and nothing. Bleh.

I like real life documentaries like Star Trek, especially Deep Space Nine.

I'd buy tickets for a Deep Space Nine movie.

The Clone Wars discs from Netflix are the best thing I've watched in years, either on TV or at the theater.

I think I've only watched like two movies so far these several months; "Pacific Rim" which was to make the 7-year old in me relive my childhood, besides its Guillermo del Torro! Then the the horror flick "The Conjuring" (based on the Warren couple's paranormal research) which was "satisfying" for lack of a better term.
