Hey there. I'm hoping that those of you that travel more can help me here.
The wife and I are moving out to Montana soon and I am trying to finalize the trip with reservations and stopovers. I am currently using Mapquest to do this, but it is kind of a pain in the rear. Is there a better online utility to use for this purpose? Thanks.

Google Maps blows the doors off of Mapquest.

Gratuitous advice: Either move within the next couple of weeks, or wait till spring. Moving in this part of the continent in the winter sucks. :D

(I'm moving in three weeks... I fully expect there to be 6" of snow on the ground)

I have been led astray by mapquest and refuse to use it. Going from Texas to specific point in Colorado and wasting gas /time by mapquest being untrue....Stay away from !!!

used mapquest to get to giants stadium for the stones years ago- it was awesome we could see the stadium as we drove-then we came to a 12ft high fence and a whole bunch of rr tracks-

turned around asked for directions and the reply-mapquest huh,go blah blah blah -

i cant wait till the gps devices come down a bit,i drive all over the state for my job in construction, and most boss's give directions that make mapquest look good

I've had good luck with randmcnally.com but my wife claims it has led her astray a couple of times. Google maps is supposed to be real good.

AAA trip books, i don't know where you like to rest at but in advance get online to best western, super 8, holiday inn etc, request a book of their hotels, they have all the phone#s you will need to get a room, i never knew when i was gonna stop and knew i had better call and make a res at least 3 hrs in advance

if you go thru s. dakota don't miss the badlands, and Wall Drug for your wife, its emorous!!!!!!!!! you will like it too

Hope you are not doing this in the winter.

i got a friend who is a gunsmith there, can't think of the town right now.
