At least the carpet cleaner came yesterday afternoon and got the carpet cleaned. The old 90 year old woman who lived in Titanic II had not vacuumed for maybe ten years so it was not an easy task.

Kitchen floor tile was in poor condition. I am replacing with oak parquet. Installation will not be complete until Tuesday evening. I was scheduled to move Tuesday so move delayed until next Friday.

Kitchen sink must be replaced, too. Lots of odds and ends need replacement or work. 10 years of essentially no maintenance has taken its toll. I am busy running here and there and trying to oversee work.

Chokpa and Samten arriving Monday night from NYC. They are going to stay and help (????) us. Yangdu has the notion that she will train a new shipping staff (be forewarned!!!) and help me with the computer oriented work. When Yangdu gets on this computer she changes or erases my bookmarks accidentally although routinely and is somehow able to take old mail from my files and get it posted as new among her many cyber abilities.

8AM and I'm already tired just thinking about it. To hell with it. I think I'll head for the casino and start my Heineken program early.

this sounds like:
A, where munk was when he was 26
B, where munk will be again when he is 90
C, where Bill would be without Yangdu when he is 90
D, all of the above

6:30 and just in from today's "moving." Trying to get this place clean is a major effort. Had to scrape (as with scraper) grease off kitchen stove and cabinet doors.

Two bathrooms. The old lady's bath had carpet and I think she missed her mark about half the time. Even the steam cleaning couldn't erase the smell. Does this answer your question, Munk?

Upside. Everything functional and little damage. No leaks and solid floors. Wall studs every 12 inches. Two pretty decent sheds out back. One will go to shipping department, other for junk. Am considering getting rid of the junk and converting shed II to a charpi for visiting Nepalis.

Everything solid, just filthy.

Updates to follow.

Quick! Call whatever national research institute there is for chemical weaponry...there is a potential CHARPI PRODUCTION PLANT IN NAVADA!!!

"converting shed II to a charpi"

Uhmmmmm ...I think I'll just bring my litterbox with me when I come to visit

I got so I hated the idea of having to move. Especially when we found we were going to have to clean up someone elses mess. Hang tough Uncle Bill you'll get through it. A few brews will probably help quite a bit.:)

There is a spray product available commercially, but not usually at Wal mart, that is good at removing most odors. Human piss? Won't get it all out. You're removing the carpet, right, because you said her bathroom 'had' a carpet?

Poor old ladies. Poor all of us.

That's the plan. Get rid of the carpet. Haven't done it yet but Yangdu says we'll not be able to sleep in the bedroom as long as the piss soaked carpet remains. Nice thing, it's canary yellow so doesn't show much.

A canary yellow carpet soaked with urine. Now, that's what I call Karma.
