Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger is on the business trip in Moscow, Russia.

The legendary film actor and the governor of California has arrived on a visit to Moscow, where he met with the president of Russia Mr. D. Medvedev.
They have discussed economical cooperation and innovation in relationships between USA and Russian Federation.

I think it is very good news for the worldwide life in the near future.

Russian president Mr. Medvedev has taken for a drive Mr. Arnold on the governmental car the "Chaika" (a Seagull).
To Mr. Arnold was offered the post of the mayor of the city Moscow , Moscow is the capital of Russian Federation.
Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger is very popular actor in Russian Federation.

Mr. I'll be back! is on the Red Place in the centre of Moscow.

The Seagull looks about like a 1956 Chrysler.

:D

Nice that Arnold can get a paid vacation before leaving office. He's really a pretty good guy, I think, and did his best to do an impossible job in "Colly-Fornia."

:)

Yes, Chaika (The Seagull) was designed at the same time approx.
It is official car of Russian government , it is the symbol of the whole epoch.

If Mr. Arnold finished his political job in USA , we can invite Mr. iron Arny to us as the minister of sport.

To GIRLYmann Yes, we know this movie, it was very popular in RF approx. eighteen years ago.
The name was the same "Red heat".

When I saw this post, my first thought was of the movie 'Red Heat', but someone beat me to it I see. I always enjoyed Arnold's movies. I live in California, and Arnold is my govenor, though not for much longer as his term is almost done. In fact, I discovered this forum years ago when I purchased an Albion-made copy of his sword from the movie 'Conan the Barbarian.' I seem to recall seeing a sword made by the late Jody Samson listed on the Albion site as being donated to Bladeforums, and I decided to check Bladeforums out. Been lurking around here ever since. So in an indirect way, Arnold is the reason I discovered Bladeforums!

ah glad you found us here!
now how many bucks do you have or intend to get?:)
(ie : have you got buck fever yet? if not hang around a bit longer and you will!)

Mr. 110 Dave
In Russia it would be called "propaganda" during the period before Reorganization, "Perestroika".:)

That is awesome... Arnold sure has come a long way from just being another kid in Austria. What a hell of a life he has led!! Coming over to america, winning Mr. Olympia, getting buttloads of money from movies and books, then onto becoming a governor and is being chauffered around by the president of Russia.. He has lived one hell of a life. Better then sitting in an office 8 hours a day forever and ever..... :thumbdn:

I don't think it's any coincidence that the Seagull looks like a 1956 Chrysler.

You guys had some Red Heat in Detroit in the Chrysler plant (DeSoto Division).

Actually, you must have had more spies working than I thought. I was going from memory, but as I took a look at some old pictures......the Seagull has a lot of similarity to the 56 Mercury, too.

You guys were good. I've noticed that your space shuttle looks something like ours, too. Funny how that happens.

:D

But our man Uriy Gagarin was first in space.:)
Our space shuttle was the first completely automatic than yours . ;)

To BG42 EDGE: good humor!

Your Sputnik was the thing that rocked our world.

Such shock and dismay!!!

I remember it well.

I think the embarrassment of that defeat was what eventually carried a man to the moon.

:)

Embarrassment ... defeat ... media hype. As garryale said "propaganda".

When I was in the Air Force, we cheered the Soviet space program too. Now look: Russia and America are still arguing, but in space, we do more together than either could do alone.

I know exactly in Russia many people think that Arnold's life is the tipycal example of the "Great American Dream".
Many people name him Iron Arny.

Yes, you are right.
And it not only is in space, Russian Federation helps to USA with the antiterrorist operation in Afganistan too.
