I am just not warming up to this knife. :grumpy: The steel is so hard, it knocked the grit off my paper wheels.
The blades stay so sharp, I almost forget how to sharpen. There are large bumps all over the handle scales, not sure why they could not have sanded them down. I guess they just do not make things like they used to. Oh, and they do not even know how to spell MIX, they put 2 M's in there. I am not sure why they put that word on the knife anyways. I never claimed to know everything about this stuff, but why have grammatical errors on a knife? Just wanted to let you know.....
Just kidding, my other knives are jealous of all the attention it gets, and they wanted me to do something about it, so I did.
I was at my son's ball game and an old timing man was pickin at a splinter in his hands. I reached in my pocket and handed him my knife. "Here, this will help." I played it real cool.
He was impressed, and said he has carried many barlows in his lifetime. He said he recently lost an old Buck 110. I may give him mine. He is a great guy, been in Simi Valley most of his life he says. It was a jacknife moment just talking to him about life in the older times. I found a new friend, a generation and a half ahead of me. Knives make friends.
There I go again. I got about 3 off topics in my original post. I need help!
