Any of you folks ever try one of these little lights? I find them to be really handy in hall ways and bathroom to give just enough light to see, at night like for trips to the bathroom and so forth. The picture is a "three pack", but you can purchase them in hardware stores as singles and of course on line. Thinking about getting one for the front porch to light up when someone steps onto the porch at night when the lights are off... such as to help finding my keys to open the door and so forth. There are other brands available too. So, this really isn't an advertisement for Mr. Beams. More of a concept. I'm just using their picture. upload_2018-11-21_14-27-42.png

They aren't the same brand, but we have several LED motion sensor lights in different areas, for different purposes. We have a solar-powered one over the door to our storage shed, and we use LED light banks under our kitchen cabinets because the quotes we were getting for AC wired ones were insane - $500-$800! So we now have about $50 worth of battery-powered LED lights under our kitchen cabinets and they work great! We use AA rechargeable batteries in them and they last quite a while in between charges.

Some of our friends have motion-sensor lights for their bathrooms or hallways, but we don't find them necessary.

I bought my first one like those pictured and placed it in a hall bathroom. It would pop on in the middle of the night if I visit the bathroom and I don't have to worry about regular night lights. I do like to be able to see as we have pets that have a habit of lying on the floor and not moving. Bought a 3-pack pictured, but at the moment have no specific plans for them.

I have one in a bedroom as well for the same reasons.... provide a little light and reduces the potential for tripping or knocking something over in the night.

Since then, I guess we have about three of them and my wife all of a sudden wanted one in our stairway between the first and second floors. She doesn't want to turn a regular light on during the night and I installed what Mr. Beams calls their stairway motion detecting light that is a little brighter than the little ones in the picture. Seems to be working out as I hoped it would. This one uses C sized batteries.

If you use alkaline batteries, definitely check them periodically and replace. You tend to forget about them and sometimes not even notice if they aren't functioning in less important spots.

The kitchen is the likely next sport for one of these such as your application around the cabinets.
