Jerry,
I was wondering? Would you have room on your Busse team for a youth energetic knife maker? I have been making knives for a few years now and i really love it! I am still in high school and have been thinking a lot about what I want to do after high school. I hope you don't get the idea that I am a dumb kid for asking a professional like you if there would be work i could do....but i would appreciate it if you'd let me know what you think.
Thanks
Luke Freeouf

Lukers,

Are you joking? Someone who wants to work? Pack your bags son I've got a grinder waiting with your name on it.

On a serious note though, finish your education so that you have options available to yourself. Then you can truly do what you want with your life. If knifemaking turns out to be your passion, then by all means call me. The wages are low, the hours are long, and the sense of satisfaction is boundless. If you have any pictures of your work thus far I'd love to see them.

Your future boss (maybe),
Jerry Busse

Jerry,
Sweet! I would just rather send you some of the knives that I have made. I am working on a few more right now when i am not studying or in the weight room.
I am for sure wanting to finish my education first. I am not sure exactly what i want to do but I love making knives. Have you ever gotten tired of it?what other fields are there that are like KNife making? what did you do before knife making?
Expect some blades in the mail soon!
Thanks a lot future-boss-man-sir(maybe)
Luke

WOW, "someone who wants to work?" that's what I like to hear! Lukers, have you ever given the nursery industry any thought? I bet you get just as sweaty as working on a grinder (unless Jerrys got air conditioning), you get sore and tired, and best of all, you get to work a gazillion hours with low pay

Oh, you get to be outside all the time and play with sharp things too! (maybe in the off season I could set up a shop for you and you could make "Nuclear Pruners")...hmmmm, a pruner blade made of INFI...oh Jerry.

Haha,
Strabs,Yes i would like to get a job!I bet that INFI would make some great shears!I am kinda used to low pay and long hard hours. I work on a farm in the summer doing fencing, irrigation pipe, bails, and various other jobs.
Jerry, I was wondering if maybe i could be a summer apprentice and Get a better idea of how your shop works. Am I asking to much? I'd work for food!!!! Write back and tell me what you think. It would be awesome to see how it is done on a large scale. I would like to try and help do whatever I could for you.
thanks,
Luke

That Jerry is some guy!
Lukers- If Jerry hires you, please make me a chisel ground Killer-B.
:D

Ha! I'd love to work again! 3years of doing nothing but basicly watching tv and going to the doctors o what fun! Work would be a sweet thing in my life! Good luck man! I hope you get that job!

Lukers.
I got to hand it to you. Knives I believe will be your passion. You are still in High School and joined Bladeforums 16 years ago. You got it in the blood.

I have wondered the same with many members over the years.
