Mr. CS, Production numbers for the Vaquero Grande in VG-1?

Looks like they were only made in VG-1 in 2007 & 2008.
#21GNSC in VG-1

It's in near mint condition and I got it for an extremely reasonable price, but not looking to turn it and will hold onto it for a while.

Is there any way to determine how many were made in 2007 & 2008?
There also appear to be a series of numbers inside the handle, right behind the lockback release, but they are tiny, unreadable and have been damaged by the blade.

You can find out a little more about discontinued knives via our CATALOG ARCHIVE, but I'm afraid I cannot give you production run numbers. That information is classified.

One more thing, Mr. CS - Would it be possible to buy a new pocket clip for this knife or do you only sell them for current models only?

Also it would be nice to be able to know more about the Grande in VG-1 - Anyone else have any info regarding this knife other than the production years of 2007 & 2008 in VG-1?

While it's not ultra-rare, it is somewhat collectable due to the type of steel as I rarely, if ever, see a Grande in VG-1 offered for sale which tells me few were made and/or people are hanging on to the ones that were made. This is the first one I've seen in a year and fortunately, it was for sale at a very low price as the seller obviously wasn't aware of what he had. I've seen AUS-8A Grande's going for 3x as much.

Thanks to anyone that can add any info regarding this knife. This is the knife that gave me "Cold Steel Fever" when I viewed an AUS-8A version in a magazine.

If memory serves, we made the VG-1 version from 2006-2009 (it was AUS 8A before that point).
In 2010 all of the Voyagers were discontinued, before returning with a new design in 2011.
