Just got these in and can't decide which Becker to put them on. I have a 5 and a 7 that I could put them on. I am thinking if I use the 5 more for kitchen prep, it might be more sanitary to keep the grivory on them and put them on the 7. Then I look at the 7 and think the knife may look better stripped w/green micarta. Any thoughts which one to dress up?

I would definitely put them on whatever one you decide to strip first. Really like the color!!!

Nice. I like em! I'd go with the 7. The grivory does seem a little more sanitary for food prep.

I think the seven would look super sexy with those. Makes it balance nice too.

I would say the bk7 as I am very partial to those, may I ask where you purchased the scales, they are really nice!

Sure. I got them off of Ebay from saintcutlery. They are really a nice green. I bought the same ones for my 11 but they were not the exact same color. I like them both though. The guy that runs the store is very nice and actually after an ordering mishap with my 1st BK11 handles I ended up with 2 pairs and he gave them to me to giveaway on this forum. A really nice guy!!!

I agree with what everyone has said. I am fixing to put them on the 7 and see what they look like without stripping. This poor 7 still looks brand new and has seen no time in the outdoors. I really need to get out and play with it. Anyway, will be back after the switch over and post up a few pics.

I don't think they would good on any of your knives.

Better send them to me.

You're right. Why don't I just send you the knife too. :)

Well, if you're feeling really generous (it was my bday yesterday afterall), I'll take a 9 with those scales please.

And your credit card number too!

:D

Happy late birthday, brother!
Those scales look amazing with the black blade of the 7.
They'd look better with a tan duracoated blade though, IMO, might do that with mine.

What I do with the Magnum Camp if I'm butchering, I wrap some of that camo grip tape around the handle. Then when I'm done I unwrap the tape and throw it away, then wash the knife.

The standard Becker handles do get a bit slick when totally covered in blood, but there's something about the shape of the handle which just locks it into my grip. The tape helps if I need to do something a little more precise.
