Good afternoon porch members!
I was honored to receive the giveaway box and would like to shoutout all the members who have put some awesome knives in!
I will include all the participants from the last thread, I will also add anyone who would like to be added and posts in this thread:
Here is what arrived:
Now for some highlights:
This stag 14 is an absolutely beautiful knife and has some fat stag scales. I was tempted to keep this one but I did put it back in the box.
This was my first time handling a Sheffield-made lambfoot and I was impressed. This bad boy has a strong pull though (about a nine.)
It was awesome to check out all the different makes and models that I haven't used before!
These are the three that I took:
I've been wanting to check out the keychain knife for awhile so that was an easy choice. The 7OT definitely spoke to me so I had to have that one! The Remington hunting knife is really cool also and is a candidate for a homemade sheath.
Here is what I put in:
The us-made Schrade mighty-mite is a classic and a suitable replacement for the keychain knife. It is actually a little bit bigger.
I also put in my very nice GEC 32 Blue ESPL. This is one of my favorite patterns and this is a great example. Here it is next to my current edc, the 32 in Hemlock jigged bone:
Now this last knife is a bit of departure from the traditional realm but I wanted to put it in because it rides in a sheath I made. It is an Ontario Knife Company Spec Plus Gen II SP-41 in 5160. The sheath is probably the second one I ever made and isn't pretty but is functional.
I will select the next recipient after about a week or so.
