Hi all,

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that you will be blessed with a very Happy New Year.

How about another round, eh?

If you have been keeping track, you will have noted that 315 315 split the box of knives that he had received into three different groups and I was the lucky soul to receive the one that is to continue this longstanding Porch tradition. Shown below is the assortment that I received. The only thing missing is a Trestle Pine Coozie - unfortunately, I get to keep that (or what's left of it) due to one of my dogs eating it... I will be including a replacement coozie that comes from a local establishment to pass along with the knives.

Now for my selections: I gave this some careful thought as I wanted to avoid just putting in a handful of knives and only taking one or two (which is what my initial intent was). However, I feel that is what led to the bloated assortment to begin with so I decided to take a different approach. A knife for a knife in a sense - I will be taking several and replacing with a like number in hopes that I can help infuse some further variety for future rounds.

I chose the following:
- Case 6332 - I know very little about this knife, other than that I like the pattern, the size, and the blade configuration (pen, instead of a spey).
- GEC #13 - I don't have a 13 in the collection and for whatever reason, I took to this knife more than I thought I would.
- Camillus 72 - I like this knife and it is different than what I would typically go for.
- Old Timer 340T - My very first pocket knife was a 340T and it's in real rough shape. This one is not and I look forward to having intact blades again.

I decided to replace a Case with a Case, a GEC with a GEC, a Camillus with a Camillus, and an Old Timer for an Old Timer.
- Case 11031SH - I love this pattern from Case and I wish they would run it again.
- GEC #21 - New, with tube, it's an excellent working knife and one that GEC should run more frequently.
- Camillus 67(?) - I don't think this knife had ever been used before I acquired it (the patina is from me). It's a great stockman.
- Old Timer 120T - Nice full blade that hasn't ever been used. Patina is from exposure, I think, not use.

I will add the list from 315 315 's thread. If you would like to be added or removed, just say the word and I will make it happen. I will let this run a week or so and then do a random drawing.

Good to see this going again, good selections and additions! Please remove me from the list i was one of the lucky winners last round of the other boxes. Good luck everyone!

I love these giveaways on the Porch - thanks for keeping this one going. I'm going to ask to be removed from the list, however. Thanks and good luck to everybody!

I would like join this round if I'm eligible.

Also - my traditional/GEC knowledge is very limited so want to clarify which of the knives you kept is the 33 as I can't find one with micarta and a hot dog shield. Thank you.

If I'm ever in your neighborhood would love to sit on your deck and talk knives!

It’s a #13 Whittler, not a 33.

Well done, Pàdruig Pàdruig ! I like your selections, as well as your replacements… and your fine photography skills!

Having said that, you can remove my name from the list. I have some cleaning house to do with my own herd and don’t need any additional confusion right now.

Woot! Another round—getting close to 50, too. Good choices for what to take and replace. Good luck to everyone who’s staying in. The best part about this giveaway is the chance to pass along the joys of giving and receiving—such a great expression of the Porch atmosphere.

Some very nice additions to the giveaway but I think I'll sit out for a while. Good luck to everyone!
