It was interesting for me going through the box. I came in with pre-conceived notions of what I was going to pick, and not pick. I knew I was going to take the S&M jack, and I knew I wasn’t interested in the GEC 13 in micarta. Well guess what? The 13 is one of the two I’m keeping. I truly enjoyed getting to handle several different patterns and brands that I have not gotten to experience until now. After it was all said and done, I decided to keep these two:

I love how the 13 felt in hand, and I really enjoyed the solid build on the Maratac fixed blade.

Here are the two I’m adding:

I felt the box needed a little more case, and as the stockman is one of my favorite patterns I went with that. I also love case’s chestnut bone. Of course, the other is a split back Whittler to replace the one I took out. A black box Winchester made by Queen.

Let me know if you would like to be added to the next go around!

Those with more knowledge than me can chime in, but yes, I would say a paid membership should be required to participate.

In past runs the consensus was the winner should be a person who frequents the Traditional area often
And should be a paying member for the forum, which helps keep the ’doors’ open here and the lowest level is only $10
And then they can communicate through the private messaging system here.

But ultimately it’s at the person running the giveaways discretion.

I’ll join in on this one as there are a few new ones that look interesting.
Thanks

I will be drawing for this this coming Saturday, the 17th. Hopefully we can get a few more entries between now and then.

Your photos aren’t showing up now

Not sure what happened- they are linked directly through blade forums, no external host. I’ll try and figure it out. Hopefully we can get another couple more entries.

Possible there might be a couple more but the last few go arounds were light on people signing up

I wonder if the low turnout is because It's that time of year. People are out doing things. Also, things go in waves. I have been avoiding the box until it has fully cycled. Part of the joy is seeing all the new knives.

That’s a good possibility, plus it’s closing in for BladeShow Atlanta soon

I will give one last call. I will draw tonight when I get home from my meeting.
