Thanks to Scattershot for hosting the last round of Mr. Knife's Neverending Giveaway. Now it's my turn...
Here are the knives I selected to keep...
Some of these came in a little road weary, so I gave everything my spa treatment before shooting the picture. At the top left is a nice little two blade Japanese Saber. At the top right is a sweet Camillus stockman from the 70s. Descending from the left is a Rough Rider gunstock bone sowbelly stockman that fills an empty spot in my collection of that line, a civilian version of a Camillus US Navy ram's foot/marlin spike from the 60s-70s, and a 1930s Robison jack knife that was a real Cinderella. It cleaned up to look almost new.
Here is the batch as it stands after I pulled out my picks...
I'm going to be honest... There are a few knives in here that are rode hard and put up wet ballast making shipping more expensive than it needs to be. If someone wins the batch who is knowledgeable and knows what can and can't be fixed, it might be a good idea to let them escort a few of these to the trash can. That said, there are a couple of really good "fixer uppers" in here, but they are beyond my ability to know how to fix. I'll go ahead and ship it all on to the winner and they can decide if they want to edit the batch a little.
Lastly, here is what I'm adding to the pot...
Here we have some brand new knives that I am ready to pass along. On top is a Rough Rider Rifleman series 6 blade stockman. It's brand new in the box- no blade rub! At upper left of the lower image is a Victorinox Classic SD Black. Don't worry about using the toothpick. This is right out of the box- a Christmas present that didn't end up being given. Below that is a Rough Ryder High Plains Moose, and from top to bottom on the right is a Marbles Ram Horn Canoe, an A. Wright and Son Barlow with buffalo horn handles (and the strongest pull I've ever encountered), and a Rough Rider twisted bone stockman. I'm tossing a few slips in as well.
So if you want in on the drawing, let me know in the comments. I'll give it through next week and pick the winner on Saturday, February 26th. I'll connect with the winner via email to get your mailing address. So you will need to check back to this thread to find out if you won. I can't PM you.
GOOD LUCK!
