Mr. Moderator - Request for a "sticky"

Hi,

After viewing this post for the first time today I am just blown away by the gererosity of Coop in sharing his methods for photography! Kudos to Coop!

Mr. Moderator, a suggestion, could we add this to the "sticky" stuff in this forum? Or possibly start a special forum that is not open to posting, just to place "How To" articles or special threads that we all want to keep for easy reference?

Again, I am just floored by the willingness of those that have "been there/done that" in sharing tips/tricks/methods, etc. I'm just a beginner, but started out "on the dark side" forging my first blade - LOL! I have just been a forum lurker, but after encouragement by "Bowie" aka Ron Claiborne & Larry Kemp I attended last year's hammerin at Ron's. Then hooked up with Larry Kemp and he has been kind enough to take me under his wing, gave me some forging lessons at his place and WOW! Right now, the local blacksmithing group is hosting Wes Byrd who is giving a basic class in bladesmithing/forging...I'm hoping to get down to Trackrock and Batsons + BLADE of course!

Again, thanks to all those that help those like me get started! Kudos!

I have had a similar opinion, regarding a sticky on FAQ's or even a whole new forum...the new forum may be a bit drastic, but if the threads are closed to posting, it might work. What do you think Mr. Carson?
Just an idea, hope I don't offend someone.

That said, could you also clean up the pile of stickies we already have? It seems to me that the OT thread and the Who Are Ya thread could be moved to "Around the Grinder," and the OT/Hijack and New Thread announcements could be...uh...unstuck? We've got quite a pile up there and it's getting a bit cluttered.

Guys, I don't have a problem with it. I thought it was stickied somewhere else. Lemme check and if not and Jim don't mind, I'll get it done.

be sorta counterproductive to move the "who are ya" if only paying members can post to it.
